Vanda is cryogenically treated 7N UP-OCC copper under a translucent blue jacket, for headphones and in-ear monitors. There is no purple dye: the lavender you see is bare copper showing through the blue. Each conductor bundles 294 ultra-fine 0.03 mm strands, so the cable is soft, light and quiet on the move. Choose 4-wire, or 8-wire for twice the copper.

Vanda
The jacket is pale blue. The copper is copper. Together they turn the colour of an orchid. Vanda is named after Vanda Miss Joaquim, the violet hybrid orchid that is Singapore’s national flower, and is made a few streets from where it grows.
Construction
Each conductor starts as 0.03 mm strands of 7N (99.99999%) UP-OCC copper. Ohno continuous casting draws the copper into long, continuous crystals, so the signal crosses fewer grain boundaries along the way. The copper is then cryogenically treated to relieve residual stress.
Seven strands twist into a small bundle, seven small bundles into a medium bundle, and six medium bundles, one at the centre and five around it, are rope-laid into the conductor: 294 strands, about 24 AWG, inside a 1.45 mm jacket.
Choose four cores, or eight: the 8-wire braid doubles the copper per channel.
Colour
Vanda’s jacket is a clear, pale blue. Over bright copper it reads as lavender. In daylight it leans lilac; under warm light the copper comes forward and it turns rose. The colour you see is the conductor itself.
Daily Carry
Fine strands mean a cable that drapes rather than springs. Vanda coils loosely, sits quietly over the ear and keeps microphonics low when you walk with it.
IEM Matching
Vanda is the cable AAW ships with Mokara, its 18-driver electrostatic flagship, in 4.4 mm balanced. On its own, you choose the connector and plug for your headphones or earphones.
Fine-stranded 7N UP-OCC copper gives Vanda a warm, full sound: rich, forward mids and natural vocals, with bass that has weight and reach. The treble is smooth rather than bright, so long sessions stay easy.

Ear guide (~10cm) is installed by default for commonly used IEM connectors (e.g. 2PIN, MMCX, IPX). Let us know if your IEM/headphone is modified or needs extra customization.
Jacket
A clear jacket shows the copper, so it also shows what the copper is exposed to. Store Vanda away from direct sun, and wipe off sweat and skin oil after long sessions to keep the colour clean.
Care
Coil it loosely in large loops and keep it in the included leather pouch when you’re on the move.
Unplug by holding the connector, not the cable, and avoid sharp bends right at the plugs.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, and keep it away from solvents and alcohol-based cleaners.
Every cable has a 1-year warranty. If anything goes wrong, contact us and we’ll take care of it.

The jacket is translucent. Copper is orange-red, and orange-red seen through blue reads as lavender. The colour shifts a little with the light, from lilac in daylight to rose under warm bulbs.

Both use the same 7N UP-OCC copper and the same jacket. The 8-wire braid has eight cores, four per side, so it carries twice the copper per channel; it is thicker and a little heavier. The 4-wire is lighter and more flexible.

Yes. Every AAW Mokara ships with Vanda, terminated in 4.4 mm balanced. On its own, Vanda lets you choose your connector and plug.
No. Vanda is a listening cable with no inline microphone.
Standard builds can be returned within 14 days of confirmed delivery if unused and in their original packaging. Change-of-mind returns carry a 30% restocking fee, and shipping is not refunded.
Custom spec, length or connector builds cannot be returned for a change of mind once production starts. Faults are a different matter: every cable has a 1-year warranty, so contact support@null-audio.com and we will assess it.
