Null Audio PEQ Android app
Null Audio PEQ controls compatible USB DAC devices and manages equalizer and
firmware settings. The app does not require an account and does not include
advertising or in-app analytics.
With your permission, the app reads information from a connected USB device,
including its manufacturer and product names, serial number, and firmware
information, to connect to the device and preserve its identity during a
firmware update. Custom equalizer presets, language preference, device
identity, and the checksum of the last installed firmware are stored in the
app's private storage on your device. The app does not upload this information
to Null Audio. You can remove it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling
the app.
When you choose to check for or download firmware updates, the app connects
to `peq.null-audio.com` over HTTPS. As with ordinary web requests, the server
may receive your IP address, request time, requested URL, and standard HTTP
request information. The app does not include your equalizer presets, USB
serial number, or selected local firmware files in these requests. If you
select a firmware file from your device, the app reads it locally to prepare
the update; it does not upload the file.
The app can copy an equalizer sharing code to the clipboard or import one
from it when you choose those actions. Google Play handles distribution and
updates of the app under Google's own privacy practices.
