Symphonym - Aoraki MKII Platinum Core Tri-Hybrid Headphone/IEM Cable

Story of Aoraki

Aoraki means cloud-piercer in Maori, and it is the Maori name for Mount Cook located on the southern island of New Zealand. Clad with everlasting glaciers, Aoraki is famous for its dramatic natural beauty and holding deep spiritual significance for the Ngāi Tahu iwi, all under a star-studded sky. However, due to recent development in the Australian wildfire, haze and smog made its way across the ocean, and now the Aoraki's glacier looks red because of particle contamination.

Superb Quality Right From the Start

I ordered the Symphonym - Aoraki MKII Platinum Core Tri-Hybrid Headphone/IEM Cable and realized that I mistakenly chose MMCX instead of IE300/600/900 connectors. A quick message back and forth with support fixed this and my cable was assembled, shipped and arrived quickly.
I was impressed immediately by the packaging and care that Null Audio took in shipping this item.
The cable has had about 15 hours of break-in time, and I am using a generic Motorola Android phone and a Questyle M15 DAC dongle for much of my listening.
My impression so far is that the Symphonym - Aoraki MKII Platinum Core Tri-Hybrid Cable is a significant upgrade from the stock Pentaconn 4.4mm cable supplied by Sennheiser for the IE900 IEMs. This new cable opens up the highs and brings air, sparkle and shimmer around transients, a sense of depth and heighth to the soundstage--which has widened and now places some instruments and vocals outside my head. The bass, which was not an issue before, is now just as deep and tight but with a dramatic increase in pace and speed. Spending over a thousand US dollars for this cable should make anyone pause. But I am very happy with my purchase as well as Null Audio's excellent support. Ultimately, what matters is the music. My new Symponym Aoraki Mk II has made my music sound more alive, purposeful and less veiled. Imaging, musicality and tempo are all much more resolved and enjoyable. I highly recommend the Symphonym - Aoraki MKII Platinum Core Tri-Hybrid Headphone/IEM Cable to anyone whose music needs a more revealing presentation.

Expand your sound stage

Going from Thera MKIII to Aoraki MKII has been pure bliss. Bass has more body and attacks are clearer, midrange is detailed (vocal music really shine through this cable). Higher frequencies are even better IMHO, they're here but never too bright; not an ounce of sibilance on a piccolo trumpet solo by Maurice André.
Sound stage & instruments separation also get better, new details emerged from tracks I thought I knew inside out.
Up until recently, I thought cables were a passive piece of equipment, and people able to hear variations between them were gifted with bionic ears (or worse, falling for deceptive sales pitch); well it's time to disagree with my former self :)

This cable deserves its higher price tag; had I had more cash flow the herringbone braiding upgrade would have been on my order !

One of the best aftermarket cable available, any prices... As I think.

All is in the title. Very technical, resolutive but at the same time very powerful, dynamic, explosive sound (all the bandwidth). Really a very great product. Fantastic match with my Aure Audio Ringo's and Elixir (best synergy with the first one). Ergonomics are very good too. Definitely recommended as a totl aftermarket cable (4 wires version). 😎👍
