AAW Noise Guard Earplugs

AAW Noise Guard Earplugs are fully customized to the user's ear canal shape in high precision and lightweight material. It is designed to stay close to the user's ear canal wall, therefore there will be minimum pressure even during jaw movement. The filter system has various attenuation levels to cope with different noise environments, it is able to protect the user's hearing against harmful noise frequencies while allowing useful frequency band to pass through. It will enable the wearer to remain alert to the surrounding environment and talk to each other in normal volume. It is extremely important for industrial application since wearer will be able to sense approaching danger such as incoming vehicles, footsteps and does not need to remove the earplugs to communicate with colleagues.

Material Type:
  • UV Acrylic
Fitting Type:
  • Full Ear Mold
Product Feature:
  • Customized for precise fitting to the user's ear canal
  • Comfortable to wear, minimal pressure to the canal wall
  • Filter out high-frequency noise, does not impair user ability to hear human voice or sensuality to the surrounding environment.
  • Long durability

Mode: VOKAL

Attenuation: up to 39dB @ 4~8kHz

VOKAL is designed for intensive noise level environments such as shipyard, heavy industrial site, shooting ranch and etc. It offers maximum attenuation at a high-frequency range to filter out harmful noise to protect the human hearing system. In the meantime, it will allow useful frequency band below 1000Hz for communication without taking off the earplugs.

Mode: NORM

Attenuation: up to 39dB @ 8kHz

NORM is designed for medium noise level application, where communication and detection of surrounding environment take priority. It has the perfect gradual reduction of sound level as frequency increases.

Mode: BASS

Attenuation: up to 36dB @ 8kHz

BASS is designed for light noise level environments, allowing more lower frequency sound to pass, especially for musical applications. Musicians and audiophiles understand the importance to preserve their hearing ability to enjoy music to the full extent. BASS is perfect for on-stage usage, where high-frequency range orchestral instruments are slightly attenuated without damaging the integrity and clarity of the musical spectrum. It will allow communication and music performance to be more natural and accurate.

Noise protection

Used in the engineering sector , with a custome fit it is easier to maintain rather than disposable earplugs

A blessing for riding

I got a pair of custom earplugs because I'm unfortunately one of those who get headaches from riding at highway speeds. Using universal earplugs, it hurts my ears after awhile, no such issues with the custom ones.

I can hear my music and directions, hear my engine and can talk to people when I'm not wearing my helmet without removing the ear plugs. Being custom for me, it fits like a glove. Wore it when I walked past a constructions, it lowers the volume so it's not over powering and I still heard the cashier perfectly.

Get a pair if you're anywhere where there's loud noise constantly, or even if you're rider who rides often, wind noise damages you hearing!

Advanced AcousticWerkes Custom Fit Hearing Protection

Before I start my review of the hearing protection, I would like to give some background information of myself. My audio hobby started about 8 years ago, beginning with an Ipod Classic 30GB, and an Ultimate Ears TF10 whose drivers still serve me well despite sending them for reshelling 3 times (cracked faceplate). After enlisting in the SAF, I was posted to the Artillery Formation and subsequently, I signed on as a regular soldier. Being a part of the SAF and Artillery, I am required to go for various forms of live firing. The SAF provided us with decent earplugs. However, I thought it prudent to invest in a pair of high quality hearing protection. While a career in SAF is only 35 years at max, hearing loss can last a lifetime.

I started to research various hearing protections and chanced upon the AAW Custom Fit Hearing Protection.

Build Quality: 10/10, Durable and has a sturdy build.

Fitting: 8/10, as it is my first pair of Custom Earplugs, I will compare them with my Custom In-Ear Monitors (CIEM) in terms of wearing and comfort. Since it uses acrylic material, it will not be as soft as silicon-based IEM. Wearing it is slightly difficult as compared with CIEM. The body of the earplug is thinner as compared with CIEM as there is nothing inside the faceplate. Thus the twisting will be a bit difficult.

Isolation: 8/10, I have used the earplug on two occasions. Both have produced consistent results. There was significant reduction of ambient noise and the deafening sound of rifle firing was muffled. On one occasion, I even had to ask a friend of mine to talk louder so that I could make out his words.

Pros: Good isolation of noise

Cons: Stock neckcord can be longer
