Ethos Ultra ist die koaxiale Weiterentwicklung von Ethos: ein Signalleiter aus 5N-Einkristall-Kupfer in einer Abschirmung aus versilbertem Kupfer, mit Kevlar-Kern für Festigkeit. Der Quellstecker ist abnehmbar: 3.5 mm, 4.4 mm symmetrisch und ein USB-C-DAC-Stecker liegen bei.

Ethos Ultra
Ein Leiter aus 5N-Einkristallkupfer, darum ein versilberter Schirm und in der Mitte ein Kevlar-Kern. Drei Stecker im Lieferumfang, ein Kabel für jede Quelle.
Ethos ist das griechische ēthos: Charakter. In der Rhetorik des Aristoteles ist es das Vertrauen, das sich ein Redner verdient, bevor er ein Wort sagt. Auf der Bühne verdient sich ein Kabel dieses Vertrauen genauso: indem man nie darüber nachdenken muss.
Aufbau
Jeder Kanal läuft als eigene Koaxialleitung. Der Leiter aus 5N-Einkristallkupfer führt das Signal; der darum gewickelte Spiralschirm aus versilbertem Kupfer führt den Rückleiter und schirmt den Leiter zugleich ab.
Ganz in der Mitte nimmt ein Kevlar-Faserkern die Zugbelastung auf, sodass das Kupfer nicht gedehnt wird, wenn am Kabel gezogen oder es für unterwegs aufgewickelt wird.
Signal und Rückleiter bleiben über die gesamte Kabellänge in festem, konzentrischem Abstand, und jeder Kanal hat seinen eigenen Rückleiter – 4.4 mm symmetrisch ist damit nativ.
USB-C-DAC + parametrischer EQ
Der USB-C-Stecker ist ein vollwertiger 32-Bit-/384-kHz-DAC mit eingebautem parametrischem Equalizer. Formen Sie den Klang mit der Null Audio PEQ App, schreiben Sie ihn in den DAC, und Ihre Abstimmung geht mit dem Kabel ans iPhone wie an Android.

Zum Abstimmen benötigen Sie die Android-App oder Chrome bzw. Edge auf einem Computer; iPhone-Browser können sich nicht mit dem DAC verbinden. Einmal in den DAC geschrieben, spielt Ihr EQ auch am iPhone.
Finish
Durch den klaren Außenmantel sehen Sie den versilberten Spiralschirm, der den Rückleiter bildet. Unterhalb des Y-Splitters sind die Koaxialleitungen miteinander verflochten.
Anschluss zum Abspielgerät
Die Geräteseite ist abnehmbar. Ein Schraubverschluss mit Gewinde wechselt zwischen 3.5 mm unsymmetrisch, 4.4 mm symmetrisch und USB-C – alles im Lieferumfang.
Der USB-C-Stecker ist ein vollwertiger DAC mit eigenem parametrischem EQ; probieren Sie den EQ weiter oben auf dieser Seite aus.
Sitz
Vorgeformte Ohrbügel halten das Kabel auf der Bühne und unterwegs an Ort und Stelle. Farbringe markieren die Seiten: Blau für links, Rot für rechts.
Abgebildet mit AAW Z05 In-Ear-Monitoren, die nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten sind.
Einkristallkupfer gibt Mitten und Bass mehr Gewicht und Körper. Der versilberte Schirm hält die Höhen offen. Die koaxiale Schirmung senkt das Grundrauschen für eine sauberere Abbildung und mehr Details.

FlexiPlug ist ein Wechselstecker-System, mit dem Sie auf den passenden Stecker für Ihre IEMs umstecken können.
Derzeit unterstützt: 2PIN, IE300, A2DC, IPX, Pentaconn Ear und QDC 2PIN.
Entworfen, von Hand gefertigt und versendet aus Singapur.

Ein Ohrbügel (~10 cm) wird bei gängigen IEM-Steckern (z. B. 2PIN, MMCX, IPX) standardmäßig angebracht. Teilen Sie uns mit, wenn Ihr IEM oder Kopfhörer modifiziert ist oder eine zusätzliche Anpassung benötigt.
Oxidations- und Vergilbungsschutz
Blankes Kupfer und Versilberung dunkeln durch Oxidation nach, und viele klare Kabelmäntel vergilben mit der Zeit. Ethos Ultra ist so gebaut, dass beides nicht passiert.
Jeder Einzeldraht ist einzeln lackisoliert und unter einer ultraflexiblen PVC-Beschichtung versiegelt, sodass Luft und Feuchtigkeit nie an das Metall gelangen und der Leiter seine ursprüngliche Farbe behält. Der versilberte Spiralschirm um jede Signalleitung – 19 Bündel aus je 7 feinen Drähten, in eine Richtung gewickelt – sorgt für Abriebfestigkeit, Stabilität und Flexibilität.
Der klare Außenmantel ist vergilbungsbeständig, sodass der Silberschirm darunter sichtbar bleibt, statt hinter einer getönten Hülle zu verblassen.
Pflege
Wickeln Sie es locker in großen Schlaufen auf und bewahren Sie es unterwegs im mitgelieferten Lederetui auf.
Ziehen Sie immer am Stecker, nicht am Kabel, und vermeiden Sie scharfe Knicke direkt an den Steckern.
Zum Wechseln des Klinkensteckers drehen Sie die Verriegelungshülse ganz ab und ziehen den Stecker dann gerade heraus.
Wischen Sie es mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch ab und halten Sie es von Lösungsmitteln und alkoholhaltigen Reinigern fern.

Great!!! The service was amazing and the package came on time. I ordered per FedEx Express Germany and all went smooth and fast. The quality + unboxing made me feel i have purchased something fancy and they are great for touring with my bands. No problem since (2 months). Keep in mind though the shipping costs are high and depending on what country, you'll have to pay custom service fees.

The cable of my Sennheiser IE 300 failed far too quickly, so I decided to purchase the Ethos Series MKVI Premium from Null Audio. The entire process — from ordering to delivery — was exceptionally pleasant and clear. I had high expectations for this cable, but I can now say that those expectations have even been exceeded. The cable looks exceptionally high-quality, but it’s the sound that surprised me the most. I was already very satisfied listening through the Dragonfly Red, but with this cable everything sounds even more open and detailed. In short: a top-tier product and excellent service from Null Audio.
Great cable
I have the Sennheiser IE300 and the standard cable broke. I replaced it with the null audio version and I should have replaced it sooner. The Sennheiser cable feels flimsy and low quality compared to the null audio version. If the null audio version has good durability, then I will be returning again for any of my audio needs.
Superb in, Stunning out cables. This is my first NA Cable, outstanding effects on my AK Zero1: wider sound stage, more details, tight bass and sparkly treble, forward mid a bit. The weekness on my Zero1 is the quite tight soundstage but Ethos MKVI solved the problem wisely.
The metal part (Black/Silver) is match perfectly with my AK SR25mkii n' Zero1!
The leather case is well made as well.
The service center (dont know exactly who) is very kind and helpful, served my requesting in deep.

Visually stunning and sounded fantastic with the additions of a miniature DAC built within the USB C connector. I absolute enjoyed listening to the clear reproduction and it works on both my phone and the PC. Awesome product!
Great sounding and looking cable for the Sennheiser IE 600. Had some issues with my original order, but great customer service handled it perfectly. Very happy with the cable. More secure than the original stock cable, with less microphonics and memory. Very happy with my purchase at Null.

I have been Null Audio user since early 2000s. Then recently I noticed Null still makes cables. Out of whim I tried this cable for my IEM, and I was blown away by transparency this cable could deliver.
I have over 100 cables including PW Audio Copper M2 , Ignis, Legend II, Copper 28V2, Many NiceHCK (including flagship Dragonscale), XINHS, and many other cables.
Eyhos MKV is truly highly recommendable cable among them all when considered price to performance.
I’ve contacted Null through email twice. Never heard anything back. I received the cable and loved everything about it.. until I noticed the ear hooks were slightly different sizes. So now the cable falls off one of my ears, and it’s secure on the other one. Very frustrating and it makes me not want to even use the cable. I would have done 1 star, but I decided to do 2 because of the quality materials and the nice MMCX fitment on my IE600. I really want to like it, but the ear hooks just don’t work unfortunately.
Sounds great! But I wish next time engineers take more care of Right and Left input. Right and left channel were switched in my cables. It is not uncomfortable since I can just change the left one to right earbud, but I could be better if I got rightly tuned one.

I’ve never been one to think audio cables affected sound. I use UE Capitol Recordings in ear monitors and I’d always thought they had some low midrange problems. I used their upgraded cable and it still felt muddy.
I got them because I’m a mix engineer and I use them to mix live shows and records.
I didn’t realize it was the cable. The new one I purchased here made them TOTALLY flat, the way they’re supposed to be. I hadn’t actually heard them properly.
The new cable DOES require more voltage, so it will drain a phone a bit faster, but the quality of sound, style and build quality far exceeds the reasonable price.
I tell everyone I know to buy these now. In my professional opinion.
Bought this last year to replace the worn cables on my IEMs. They do their job well enough and as good as the original cables on my earpieces. But they do have one major caveat - electrical leakage when my Macbook Pro is plugged in to charge. I've waited this long to post a review because I didn't believe that cables at this price point would have an issue like this, and I've tested this with 2 other chargers, one of which I purchased brand new. I used to think it was my imagination, but the sharp, nagging sting at the top of my ears where the metal casing rests gets unbearable, and a test pen has confirmed my suspicions as well. It has come to the point where I have stopped using that set of IEMs when I need to charge my computer. If your work requires you to have your laptop or other electronic devices constantly plugged in while you are monitoring, I would definitely avoid.
It's the cheapest cable inbthe NA line up, yet I found I like it the most among all other models!My first impression is that this is a beautifully built cable, when I link it up with VE8, I was immediately shocked by the huge soundstage, and the bass is very prominent. Yet, the vocals is still very clear and transparent ! I got some more expensive cables from NA before,but I really think this is the best cables for my IEMs.
Good upgrade cable beautiful and good quality
Ordered the ETHOS PLUS with A2DC connectors and In-line mic/volume control to replace my original cable of my Audio-Technica ATH-CKR90iS.
I love this upgrade as it improve the mids of my old IEM.
Purchased to go with my Massdrop Plus IEM. Specifically looking for a cable to wear under my Motorcycle helmet. I own and love the Arete cable but that was too thick to wear over the ears under the helmet. The Ethos works great. Both cables are well built, do not tangle easily (Important to me!), and sound fine. I'm no expert at detecting sound signature changes based on cables so I won't make any claims on that. However the cables work great and I'm happy with my purchase.
I'm pairing this cable with the Audio Technica CKS1100. Overall I would say that the sound has definitely improved.
Bass doesn't sound that bloated anymore, and more punchy in fact. Though those who enjoys sub bass might want to take note that the cable does reduce that frequency spectrum.
Resolution is much better with an obvious increase in clarity especially when it comes to vocals. Hearing these improvements made it apparent to me that the default cable on the CKS1100 really is holding back the potential of the earphone.
With all these increase in sound quality some of you might wonder: Why is this cable only getting 4 stars?
Since I had requested the cable without earguides at the connectors, Null Audio had kindly replaced the connectors with metallic ones. And that is when I experienced something that has never happened to me throughout years of earphones using. After replacing my earphone cable with the Ethos, whenever I use it with a charging device (Laptops, Phones etc.), I will constantly get small electric shocks at my ears. This issue doesn't occur as long as the device isn't charging.
It made me realise why nearly all earphone cable connectors have a rubber or plastic exterior.
The cable is beautiful, improves on sound quality and seems to be well built. So I hope Null Audio will take note about the metal connector issue to improve on the good job they are already doing.

I've used 5+ different cables with my ER4s and this is the first cable where I felt like I could hear a clear improvement in the sound quality and clarity. Difficult to quantify, but definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Es ist so gebaut, dass das nicht passiert. Jeder Einzeldraht ist einzeln lackisoliert und unter einer PVC-Beschichtung versiegelt, die Kupfer und Versilberung vor Oxidation und Verfärbung schützt, und der klare Außenmantel ist vergilbungsbeständig.
